WMH has developed a system which enables pizza manufacturers to reduce labour costs on their lines.
Many ready prepared pizzas are packed on a cardboard or polystyrene board to offer protection and rigidity to the pizza. The placement of these boards under the pizzas has normally been a manual operation which adds cost to the production process.
WMH has developed an automated solution to this problem which integrates an automated disk feeder unit with WMH specialised conveyoring to accurately position and place the pizza bases on the disks at a rate of 60/min.
The system which was developed for a multi-national pizza manufacturer integrated a number of units to provide a multi-lane feed of bases on boards. To ensure a continuous feed of bases on boards the system incorporated a reject system which would remove any boards without bases.
