To raise the profile of Western Mechanical Handling within the local community WMH are pleased to be sponsoring Callington Colts Girls Football teams for the current season.
Callington Colts youth football club was formed in 1989 and currently has eight teams, from U7 to U16, and provides competitive football and training for over 120 local children who compete in the Devon Junior and Minor League. WMH is providing sponsorship to the two girls teams (U14 and U16) who compete in the Cornwall Girls Football League.
Lack of funding for girls’ football in the area had led to the teams struggling to provide kit for the teams for almost five years. Sponsorship from WMH has enabled the teams to purchase new kit for the teams which will see them through the next few seasons.
“We were keen to raise the profile of WMH as an employer in the area, particularly to attract future engineers and felt that this was a great opportunity to give something back to the local community and make a difference to the football teams” said a spokesman for WMH
