Ian Ewing and Tom Tomlinson of Western Mechanical Handling have recently gained the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (ICG).
The IGC covers a wide spectrum of areas around risk management and best practices in health and safety including identification and control of workplace hazards. The certificate enables Ian and Tom to contribute and advise the company to ensure all relevant health and safety regulations are adhered to both in the manufacturing environment and when installing machinery on customer sites.
The General Certificate is split into three units which are assessed separately via written examination and practical assessment.
“This qualification has been a great help for me when preparing method statements and risk assessments for site installations” commented Project Manager Ian Ewing.
