WMH employees are being encouraged to swap four wheels for two for their daily commute. The company has recently joined Cyclescheme.co.uk which enables employees to save money when buying a new bike or accessories.
The scheme helps employees of registered companies to hire-purchase a bike, then pay for them over 12 months, out of pre-tax earnings. Average savings are between 25% and 32% of the cost of the bike or accessories.
Cyclescheme.co.uk makes it easy for companies to take advantage of the UK government Cycle to Work scheme which was introduced in 1999 to encourage people to change to greener forms of transport for their journeys to work, to promote a healthier lifestyle and to reduce air pollution and congestion in Britain’s towns and cities.
